About Us

Pig Rig BBQ owner Daniel Lanigan – an Army scout veteran – started his career cooking and selling hot dogs out of his restored food truck, The Dastardly Dog, in 2006. Having those skills and a passion for authentic, pit-smoked barbecue, the next logical step for Daniel was to start a BBQ food truck - which is exactly what he did. The Pig Rig BBQ food truck was born in 2013, followed by the restaurant’s opening at 950 Yale Avenue, Wallingford, CT the next year.
